For-Profit Versus Not-For-Profit
What is the difference between a for-profit and a not-for-profit senior living company? When it comes to managing the day-to-day operations of the communities we serve, the answer is… nothing. In fact, being a not-for-profit makes it even easier for us to invest in the people living at each community. As a not-for-profit company, we have more freedom than many for-profit organizations. We don’t answer to investors and we’re not tied down by the financial obligations of a publicly traded corporation or Real Estate Investment Trust. At Autumn View Gardens, we’re obligated by our mission to serve everyone within our communities with humble, willing spirits.
Social Accountability and Service
So, what do we do with this freedom? First and foremost, we care for every member of our communities with respect, professionalism and warmth. We invest in high-quality environments, technology to keep everyone safe and programs to ensure residents are able to live the active, independent lifestyles they choose. As a faith-based organization, our mission is one of service, which means we are dedicated to the physical, emotional and spiritual health of our residents. Service also means investing in our communities through a greater mission. Since our organization’s founding in 1959, we have been serving our world by loving, giving, and doing. Flexible, Affordable Senior Living Options to Fit Your Budget
At Autumn View Gardens, we strive to provide high-quality services that support our residents in living vibrant, active and joy-filled days. We also understand the importance of finances for older adults and their families. We know our residents have worked hard through the years to save money and support their retirement, and we don't think they should compromise care for affordable services. That's why our community includes flexible living options to fit a variety of budgets.
Our residents can choose from reasonably priced private or companion apartments in assisted living and memory care levels. Budget-minded companion living arrangements allow the rent to be split between two individuals while maintaining each resident's access to all our wellness and lifestyle amenities. Affordability isn't the only benefit of companion apartments, though. Social interaction has been proven to maintain seniors' cognitive function while creating meaningful connections between residents. Choosing to live in a companion apartment can help older adults reduce feelings of isolation and make lasting friendships in their assisted living community.
Business For Benevolence
Our communities aren’t islands, and we know that the neighborhood and towns surrounding them are often important to staff and residents. That is why we’re so happy to offer support via grants to local agencies. Our Community Grants go to support a variety of programs that assist older adults, children, and other in the neighboring communities in the area.
