Our community was fortunate to get a new bus for senior outings this year, but our old bus was still serviceable. Because we’re always looking for service opportunities, we’re excited to report Autumn View Gardens was able to donate the bus to a good home.
Jason Maylee, manager of our landscaping company, attends a small church, Connection Worship Center in Pevely, MO. Jason and his Pastor James Leach were on a mission to have better outreach for their members. “Our church needs a good bus to pick up our members for worship services, and to help with transportation for youth events such as vacation bible school”, said Pastor James Leach.
“Our organization, Bethesda Senior Living Communities, is committed to servanthood, so we all try to do everything from our heart and do the right thing, not only for our residents but for the greater community where we live and work,” said Tim Nye, Executive Director for Autumn View Gardens.
“This was an excellent opportunity for us to assist someone in need, and for the Connection Worship Center to bring its ministry to those who might not otherwise be able to come to church. That’s what it’s all about.”
Autumn View Gardens residents are excited our community was able to find a great home for our old bus.
